Digital sign in sheet with a QR code

    Paper
    Orientation
    More: font, color, form layout
    5. Optional: sign in on a phone

Make a digital copy of this sheet. Visitors scan a QR code and fill in the same columns on their phone. Free for up to 25 entries, stored for 90 days.

    How it works

    1. Design the columns above, exactly as you would for paper.
    2. Press “Create digital sheet”. You get a visitor link, a private host link and a QR code poster to print.
    3. Visitors scan, fill in the form and press Sign in.
    4. Open the host link to see the entries and download them as a CSV.

What is stored, and for how long

    • The sheet: its title, who it is hosted by and its column names.
    • Each entry: the answers a visitor typed and the time they signed in.
    • A one-way hash of your host key, never the key itself.
    • Everything is deleted automatically 90 days after the sheet is created, or sooner if you delete it.

The privacy page goes through this in full. Visitors also see a short line naming the sheet’s host before they sign in.

    Paper and phone together

Phones fail: no signal, a flat battery, a visitor who would rather write. The same sheet prints as a paper copy to put next to the poster. Both give you the same columns, and the CSV of the phone entries opens in any spreadsheet.

    Questions

    What do visitors need?

A phone with a camera that scans QR codes. They scan the poster, fill in the form in the browser and press Sign in. No app and no account.

    Who can see the entries?

Only someone with the host link. It contains a long random key that is not stored on our side in readable form, so keep it private like a password.

    How long are entries kept?

90 days from the day you create the sheet. After that the sheet and every entry are deleted automatically. You can delete everything sooner from the host page.

    What happens after 25 entries?

The free sheet holds 25 entries. After that visitors see that the sheet is full, and the host page shows how many people were turned away. The Open House Kit ($9.99, one time) is for sheets that need more.

Is it safe to collect phone numbers this way?

The form tells visitors who the host is and how long the entries are kept. Entries travel over an encrypted connection and are visible to the host only. You are responsible for how you use the details you collect.
